Operation Eternal Impact

Part of the OEI Team Over the past week our family got together with the Hynes, Potters, Staddons, Butlers and a couple other nearby families to have Bible Clubs!

Friday and Saturday were days of training. I liked learning how to tell the wordless book to other children.

Samuel telling the story of MephiboshethMonday, Tuesday and Wednesday we went to four different places and taught the children about God. I remember the  Mephibosheth story that Samuel Potter told. It really got the children’s Singing a songattention when he was running and running and suddenly tripped and fell down to  act out his story!

It was neat to see children being asked, "What did you do today?" Daddy gave Gospels of John to some of these little childrenand to hear them say with so much joy that they had accepted Christ. Once I heard two boys talking. One said, "Have you got your heart cleansed?" and  Another one of the Bible Clubsthe other boy answered, "I already did yesterday."

I’m so happy to be part of a family that is telling others how to be saved from their sin.

It was a great week!

I was able to help teach a song I enjoyed working with my Bible Club Team

Ask in Faith

George MullerGeorge Muller, when he was young was not a very wise man. But as he grew older, he started to realize he needed something, and he found Christ.

Later he got married and he and his wife gave all their earthly treasures to the Lord. He noticed that 5 and 6 year olds were working just to get basic needs so he started giving them bread. Then every morning a lot of children would come asking for bread. So George MullerThe dining hall at Ashley Downs took them in as orphans.

Early one morning when the orphans were getting ready for school there was no food left in the house. George Muller sat down to pray for the food that God was going to provide. A knock came and it was a baker who gave them bread. After he left and the orphans were about to eat, a milkman had a broken cart so he asked if Gorge Muller would The Orphanagebe kind and take the milk so he could fix the cart and be on his way.

George Muller cared a lot for these children He had a lot of love for them. God always met his needs. I want to learn to live by faith like George Muller.

Making Increase by Working Together

I enjoy being a part of a large family. When everyone works together and does their part of the work, so much can get done real quick. Everybody is able to encourage each other and the work becomes lots of fun.

Unloading a bunch of cut grassOne day not too long ago, we had a lot of jobs to do. One job was mowing the lawn. Kenan and Adam had enthusiasm for starting. Markie came out and he followed them around with the wheelbarrow. His job was to collect all the cut grass and take it over to our mulch pile. Soon Joshua came out and he did the weed whacking.

The lawn mowing team Thank Sarah & Mom for all the hard work with the pizza!

Inside, everyone else was busy folding laundry, fixing a Mommy cleans a dirty windowbroken bush trimmer, cleaning windows, and cooking. Sarah and Mommy worked hard making pita bread pizzas for everyone – yum, yum! For all the hard workers, Jennifer made a big batch of strawberry smoothies. They tasted so good and cooled us all down. I always feel good after working real hard. Thank you everyone for showing a great example of working together with diligence & cheerfulness.

Markie is a joyful worker!  Feeling refreshed with a strawberry smoothie  Mmmmmm Good - thank you Jennifer

Creative Meals

{creative} Watching Jennifer Create Fun PancakesSometimes it is fun to make meals extra special by adding a little creativity. Just recently Jennifer and Daniel made ordinary food extraordinary.

{creative} Dripping drops of food coloringOne night, we made pancakes. They were looking really good. Then Jennifer had an idea. She pulled out a couple small bottles of food coloring, and began dripping little drops of the coloring on the pancakes. She made a lady bug pancake :-) , a smiley face pancake, a swirl pancake, and a heart pancake. They looked so neat.

{creative} A Christmas Tree EggA couple days later, Daniel surprised us with extraordinary eggs. He took metal cookie cutters, put them in the pan, and cracked the egg inside the cutter. They turned out really well. He made Christmas Trees, Angels, Camels, and Gingerbread eggs.

Using ordinary things for extraordinary purposes reminds me that God can use an ordinary person like me to do extraordinary things with Him.

Our First Craft Fair

Over the years, Mommy has been teaching us girls how to sew. Proverbs 31:13 says, “She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.” We all enjoy sewing with our hands and are grateful for Mommy’s encouragement.

{craft} Some of the things we crochetedA couple months ago we found out about a craft fair that was being put on in our neighborhood. Jennifer and Sarah have been diligently making many different items out of fabric. They decided to try selling items that they were making. They made winter hats, fleece blankets, casserole carriers, oven mitts, wash cloths, and more.

{craft} A basket of potholders, ready to go!We had a lot of fun. I enjoyed watching all the people come by. The Lord answered our prayer and gave us a very good place for our table. We met several very sweet ladies who were also selling things. The whole afternoon was a big blessing to us. We learned a lot and look forward to maybe going to another craft fair.

Afterwards, Joshua, Sarah, Adam, and Markie helped clean up the clubhouse. It was neat having everyone work together as a team. It is a joy to serve others.

This is one web site Jennifer is using to look for local craft fairs: www.craftlister.com .

Ice Cream Creations

{icecream} Making our ice cream creations{icecream} The ice cream flavorsOne thing I really like about having a big family is all the fun things we can do together. Doing things together helps make good relationships. Our brothers, sisters, and parents should be our best friends.

A little while ago while Mommy and Daddy were out on a date, we decided to have an ice cream contest. Everyone had to make something with ice cream and all types of yummy stuff like {icecream} Ice cream man by Jenniferchocolate chips, ice cream cones, marshmallows, nuts, craisins, marshmallow cream, and other things. We had to build quickly so our ice cream would not melt.

Then, starting with Markie and going all the way up to Joshua, each one picked their favorite ice cream creation. The part I liked best was eating the ice cream :-) .
