Ask in Faith
posted by
George Muller, when he was young was not a very wise man. But as he grew older, he started to realize he needed something, and he found Christ.
Later he got married and he and his wife gave all their earthly treasures to the Lord. He noticed that 5 and 6 year olds were working just to get basic needs so he started giving them bread. Then every morning a lot of children would come asking for bread. So George Muller
took them in as orphans.
Early one morning when the orphans were getting ready for school there was no food left in the house. George Muller sat down to pray for the food that God was going to provide. A knock came and it was a baker who gave them bread. After he left and the orphans were about to eat, a milkman had a broken cart so he asked if Gorge Muller would
be kind and take the milk so he could fix the cart and be on his way.
George Muller cared a lot for these children He had a lot of love for them. God always met his needs. I want to learn to live by faith like George Muller.

Great Post Hannah! George Muller is such an example to us all and I appreciate being reminded that the Lord is faithful to provide for all our needs. Thank you!
I was mightly encouraged by George and Mary Muller! The love that they had for these children was just an over flow of the love they had for the Lord and each other.
What a God honoring marriage they had! The way you love and treat those in your own family truly shows where your heart is!
Hannah, I was very encouraged when you read the above report on George Muller during our Wisdom Book reporting time on Monday. Let’s follow his example and ask in faith more often!
Hannah I really appreciate this post. Let’s follow Goerge Mueller in the ways he followed Christ.
Thank you Hannah for your encouragment to ask in faith. I want to have the same kind of faith in God that George Muller had too.
What a man of faith. May we be willing to let God show himself strong in our lives as well!
Interesting isn’t it how faith and love go together!
Hannah, what an amazing life to study! There are so many lessons of faith we can learn from George Mueller.
[...] George Muller (1805-1898) was a man of prayer and one who regularly sought the will of the Lord. In so doing, he saw God answer prayer in amazing ways. His life is a tribute indeed to the Words of Christ, "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:13)." [...]
